Debra Barnes tells the story of how her mother Paulette survived the Holocaust as a hidden child in France while most of her family were gradually taken away. Paulette lost her parents, her twin sister Annette, aged six, and their brother Nathan aged 12, all murdered at Auschwitz. Debra uses her own research together with testimony provided by two surviving uncles.
Debra is a speaker for G2G and works for The Association of Jewish Refugees (AJR). She is author of a novel, The Young Survivors, inspired by her mother’s story. Twitter: @debra_author www.debrabarnesauthor.com
