Generation 2 Generation is proud to host our own Holocaust Memorial Day event where we will consider this year’s theme Be the Light in the Darkness.
Our event is titled: “Passing the Baton: Holocaust Survivors in Conversation with Second and Third Generations”.
Elie Wiesel is famously known as saying: “Whoever listens to a witness, becomes a witness” and spoke often about the importance of passing down the testimony of Holocaust survivors. So how do we best achieve this in their names in a time of growing Holocaust denial? Our interviewer will seek answers to this question from two Holocaust survivors and their descendants. Participants will include Avital Menahem speaking with her grandfather, Yisrael Abelesz and Susanna Rosenberg with her father Sacha Kester, born Graber.
