Are you planning to hold an event that educates about the Holocaust and inspires greater understanding and tolerance?
Generation 2 Generation provides thoroughly vetted, trained and well-rehearsed speakers for schools, universities, community and civic organisations and places of worship.
Our purpose is to ensure that the lives and experiences of those who survived the Holocaust are passed on to future generations so that they are not forgotten or denied and that the lessons of the Holocaust, genocide and discrimination are learned.
We enable and train the family or friends of refugees and survivors from Nazi-occupied Europe to prepare and deliver presentations about their families’ experiences before, during and after the Holocaust.
Our presentations have a strong educational emphasis integrating oral or visual testimony, personal and historical photograph and film, letters and other artefacts. The content is fact checked by Holocaust historians to ensure historical accuracy.
Each talk represents the experiences of an individual or family of Holocaust survivors and victims of Nazi oppression from a variety of backgrounds.
We ensure high quality presentations by providing our speakers with:
- continuous support to develop engaging and age appropriate talks by experienced teachers, mentors and speakers
- technological expertise to create and make use of existing testimony and historical sources as part of the talk
- training in presentation skills, historical research, IT skills, adapting presentations to a variety of audiences and other appropriate training
- regular opportunities to practice, review and renew.
Since our founding in 2018, our presenters have shared their stories in schools, libraries, community centres, libraries, civic organisations, churches and synagogues at events throughout the year.
