Northern Holocaust Education Group and Generation 2 Generation invite you to listen to Leah Burman share the story of her father Ziggy Landschaft.
Leah’s father, Ziggy, was born in 1925 in Chorzow, Poland, and grew up with his father, mother and younger brother. They were an orthodox Jewish family. Hear Ziggy’s experiences of the Cracow Ghetto, Płaszów Labour Camp, Gross-Rosen Concentration Camp and the death march to Mauthausen Concentration Camp and how he was saved by a small group of Czech political prisoners.
Ziggy’s motto and story, L’Chaim, a Jewish toast meaning “To Life”, is a powerful one for today’s world.
This will be an on-line Zoom event, but booking is required via Eventbrite.
