G2G Presents: The story of Anton Hundsdorfer

Ernie Hunter tells the story of the non-Jewish, German side of his family.  His father, Anton Hundsdorfer, and his sister Sonja, were victims of Nazi Persecution because they were communists and political opponents of Hitler.  The story tells how Germans who opposed Hitler suffered terror, imprisonment, interrogation, torture and murder.   The story reminds us of what can happen if free speech and democracy are squashed.

G2G Presents: The stories of Jan Kurz- Bernstein and Lola Waksman

Through photos and voice recordings, their daughter, Noreen, tells of their courage and resilience; how they succeeded in building a happy life in England, but never forgot the loss of their dear parents, Noreen’s grandparents.

The Holocaust, Uyghur Genocide and our moral responsibility today – Marking Holocaust Memorial Day 2022.

Three generations, two stories, one shared responsibility to speak out.

To mark Holocaust Memorial Day, Generation 2 Generation, René Cassin and Stop Uyghur Genocide are hosting an evening of conversation between generations and between experiences of persecution, the Holocaust and the Uyghur Genocide*. By sharing these stories and reflections we hope to highlight the moral authority, and with it the moral responsibility we have to act today, so that future generations never again have to experience the same atrocities committed against the Jews and Uyghurs.

Father and daughter Kerim and Dilnaz will be in conversation with grandfather and granddaughter Steven Frank and Maggie Fleet, facilitated by Richard Greene, Director of Content for CNN.
